Tell us about a time when your strength was tested.

A time when my strength was tested was when my parents got divorced.

What is your favorite book about a strong girl and why?

My favorite book about a strong girl is Number the Stars by Lois Lowry. AnneMarie Johansen is a brave girl who risks her life to save her best friend from the Nazis during WW2. This suspenseful and inspiring novel was awarded the Newberry award in 1990.

What is it about the main character of your story that inspires you?

Penelope is an inspiring character because she overcomes her inability to make decisions. She becomes an empowered girl when she makes her own decisions.

What is the best piece of advice you were given as a girl?

The best piece of advice I got when was when I was a girl was to listen to my intuition. Don’t doubt yourself.

What’s your superpower, or what’s your Patronus?

My superpower is my higher and/or best self. It ignores the negative voice in my head.
